Maintenance Mechanic

Monvera Glass Décor (www.monvera.com) is a leading supplier of glass decoration services to the wine and beverage industry. We print labels directly onto glass bottles and we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain/ service our printing equipment.

• Repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, Printing machinery, and mechanical equipment, electric motors, pneumatic tools, multiple conveyor systems, and print production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight-edges.
• Repair or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand/power tools.
• Start devices to test their performance and adjust as needed with the assistance of the machine operator (as needed).
• Lubricate and clean all moving parts, as needed.
• May be required to set up and operate; drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts as needed.
• May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
• May be required to repair electrical equipment.
• Verifiable work experience.
• Experience with CNC equipment a plus.
• PLC driven troubleshooting a plus.

• Proficient in schematic and blueprint reading.
• Ability to use MS Office and other software as needed.
• Ability to be able to communicate clearly with others and experienced in Lock out / Tag out procedures.
• Experience with Electro/Mechanical printing equipment a big plus.
• Experience with Gas furnaces, and industrial ovens a plus.
• May have to work extra-long hours during a breakdown-and be open to being available by electronic communication remotely.
